Dr. Shimul Sahai
Shimul Sahai, MD is the owner and operator of Phoenician Pain and Rehabilitation Center. She is a compassionate provider who listens actively to each and every patient to help them find resolution and experience a high quality of life. She offers a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management tailored to each individual patient.
A graduate of Northeastern Ohio Medical University, Dr. Sahai completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, Virginia. She then furthered her education by completing her fellowship in Pain Management at Western Pennsylvania Hospital/Temple University in Pittsburgh, PA. She went on to finish a Dr. Sahai is double board-certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Pain Management.

Trevor Patience, PA
Trevor completed his BS in exercise science from Arizona State University. He then received his MS in physician assistant studies at Texas Tech University where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Phi Alpha national honor society.
Before PA school, Trevor was a high school swim coach, an EMT, physical therapy tech and pain management MA. Trevor enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons when he is not working. His special interests are pain medicine and rehabilitation.
Jessica Kappes, PA
Jessica is a board certified Physician Assistant. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Sioux Falls, followed by her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Union College in 2009. She spent over 8 years in the field of Family Medicine prior to specializing in Pain Management and Rehabilitation. Her time spent in primary care was essential to develop her understanding of acute and chronic pain, including its potentially debilitating effects. Jessica believes in building trusting relationships with her patients, and does this by listening and providing a comprehensive plan of care. She believes in teaching and empowering patients to make lifestyle changes, in conjunction with medical treatments, to take control of their pain.
